השירות החשאי בארה"ב חשף וניטרל רשת של יותר מ-300 שרתים ו-100 אלף כרטיסי סים, כ-50 ק"מ ממטה האו"ם בניו יורק שבו נערכת העצרת הכללית של האו"ם. לפי השירות החשאי הרשת הייתה עלולה לאפשר פגיעה בתקשורת הטלפונית, ואף לשמש לתקשורת מוצפנת עבור גורמים שמעוניינים להציב איומים ולבצע פשעים.
